Hunch creates ideas with Apple's on-device Foundation Models, so it needs:
On iPhones without Apple Intelligence the app still opens and explains what is missing, but it cannot generate ideas.
The app opens but no ideas appear. Make sure Apple Intelligence is enabled. Open Settings, tap Apple Intelligence and Siri, and turn it on. The first time you enable it, iOS downloads the on-device model, which can take a while and needs Wi-Fi and battery. Once it finishes, tap the orb again.
Does Hunch work offline? Yes. Ideas are created on your device, so Hunch works in Airplane Mode. Nothing is sent to a server.
What data does Hunch collect? None. Hunch has no account, no analytics, and no tracking. Your ideas never leave your device. See the privacy policy linked below.
How do I save an idea? Open an idea and tap the star. Starring saves it to your private collection, and saved ideas survive new batches. Tap the star again to remove it, and you can undo a removal.
Where are my saved ideas stored? On your device only, in the app's own storage. They are not synced or backed up to any server.
What is Hunch+? Hunch+ is an optional subscription that unlocks a private chat about any idea, you can scope the build, poke holes, and find the angle. The chat also runs on device. It costs 2.99 US dollars per month or 19.99 US dollars per year.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Hunch+, and change or cancel it there. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
I paid but Hunch+ is locked. Open the Hunch+ screen and tap Restore Purchases. If it still does not unlock, email me and mention the Apple ID region you purchased in.
How do I get a refund? Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find Hunch+, and request a refund.
